I work part time and I save 80-90% (but I’m married).

I use to be really bad with money. But I quite like savjng and reaching my saving goals now.

You’re saving a good amount ManshaAllah. Do you live at home or out? If at home you could probably save more?

It depends on your situation but living at home saves a lot more. I saw this Somali YouTuber who made me think. He was saying something like ... Somali families have multiple kids that all live out of the house. So they pay 5 rents, electricity bills, food bills etc. If they all lived together they would have between them only 1 rent, 1utility bill etc. And then, with the money you save, you can buy your first property together. I know that’s not always feasible though because people are different ages/ wanting to live in different areas etc. But so far I’ve observed 2 of my close Indians doing that ( living at home and then buying with their siblings).

I couldn’t do that because I’m the youngest and there’s a massive age gap, but I think it’s a good idea for those who can.
