The international somali awards will take place tonight in London. I have been following ISA keenly and i came conclusion that there is almost nothing somali about it.
There is almost nothing inspiring about the nominees or the organizers except few individuals.

So the question is how somali is the "ISA".

I have an IQ of 300
I looked it up and apparently some of the nominees are:
- A blind PhD graduate and lecturer
-Multiple engineering and science graduates
-Somali business start-ups
- A somali comedy duo
I mean, this looks like a great variety and selection of inspiring people, especially the blind lecturer :ehh:

I was thinking of making a thread about the ISA.

It's a clear (but anecdotal) indicator that UK Somalis aren't all trash (lol) and that we are improving in various indicators most importantly on education.

The only thing that is stupid about the event is the price tag...

£75!!!

:whew:

This isn't some entertainment gig or something. It's a bloody awards ceremony!! Aren't UK Somalis supposed to be this dirt gaajo poor sods? And wtf happened to social mobility?

I thought UK banned khat but the organisers must be chewing that shit illegally if they came up with that price.

She is gonna be there i have her sc, she posted some snaps of her at the award.
