I am going to break down how the Somaliland-UAE agreement has cemented Somaliland’s independence and sovereignty.


(1) Somaliland signs the Berbera port deal with the UAE state owned DP world.




(2) Funnily enough the Somaliland-UAE agreement was made whilst the Prime minister of Somalia was in the UAE.




(3) This then prompted the public into forcing the weak Federal government of Somalia into talking out against the Somaliland-UAE deal.




(4) The state owned DP World CEO then humiliated the Federal government of Somalia on national television by bringing to attention that Somaliland has been independent for the past 28 years and that Somalia has no sovereignty over Somaliland.




(5) Then a UAE official publicly mocked the Federal government of Somalia by tweeting “How many metres (not kilometres) of Berbera in Somaliland is controlled by the Federal government of the Somalia?”




(6) The humiliated Federal government of Somalia then took a impulsive step forward by turning to the Arab league and African union.

(7) Then the President of Somaliland Muuse Bihi declared it as a act of war.

The Arab league will side with the UAE and AU will be divided on the matter. If the Federal government of Somalia some how does the impossible and nullifies the Somaliland-UAE agreement, the UAE and its allies would recognise Somaliland as a independent country as they wouldn’t want to lose Berbera to Turkey.

In all the Federal government of Somalia has no moves left, they’ve been stalemated and its about time they recognise Somaliland.
