These arabs will wage 'war' today and shake hands over tea in a few years. We sadly are the pawns in this battle, how do we maintain our neutrality and make sure we aren't as involved.

What options do we even have at this point, I believe we are in too deep. Allowing them to build military bases, our geographic importance for global oil trade and even paying parts of our defense budget means that we will never NOT be immersed in this clash.

Don't ge the point since UAE been in Somalia since the civilwar and before that with historical ties to many regions of Somalia while Turkey and Qatar only showed up recently.

All Somali big companies always used Dubai and UAE was one of the only countries to accept Somali passport/visas since the civilwar started whereas Qatar only gave visa to alshabab leaders..why the hell be so against UAE and be ungrateful for a lot they done for somalis since 91 for terror supporter Qatar and newcomer Turkey who is only in xamar:bell:

Agreed for most of it but you seem to be implying that the Saudi/UAE arent implicated in funding these groups world wide. As we know AS is under leadership of AQ which is an mostly Saudi/US funded group.

Also how do you understand the word 'recent'. The UAE was an empty desert a few decades ago so what 'historical ties' are you talking about. What kind of ally with 'historical ties' goes out its way to destabilize a country by making port deals with corrupt regional leader.

You have put from Bosaso on your profile yet don't know the historical ties with UAE or what country the man in charge of killings a bombings in Bosaso lives in.

Don't care about worldwide alqaida or what ever but the ones killing my people are sponsored by Qatar and received asylum there from shabab leader to UIC. Leaders while UAE was supporting TSFG who established the first internationally recognized government since 91 way before turkey came, Qatar supported AL itihad, maxakiimta, shabab, hizbul islam and damu jadid who the last president was a member of.

I dont care about the past since it is completely irrelevant right now. You cannot be justifying the UAE's complete disregard for the Somali constitution and its soverignty all because we used to trade with them centuries ago.

Sxb I am aware of Qatar and Turkey and I would rather they all halted their 'support' in the name of aid or whatever it may be.

I just want what is best for our country. While you, on the other hand, come across as a staunch UAE-Saudi supporter so you will always have your biasses. Perhaps you grew up in the ME.

What past when shabab is still in Bari and its leader living in Qatar with UAE giving a hand in fighting them, the ties are still there and not irrelevant to PL dude so dont claim Bosaso as its clear you not from there.

The constitution you mean the one that was stolen in xamar:chrisfreshhah:

Puntland has no dog in this fight as for Mogadishu allying with Qatar and turkey let’s just say Mogadhisho ain’t somalia and somalia ain’t Mogadishu long gone are the days of Siad Barre dictatorship
Yes! Mogadishu is not Somalia and Somalia is not Mogadishu the sooner we understand that the faster we will get Somalia moving.

For example turkey has a military base in Mogadishu but no military presence in the rest of somalia
Xamar has both Turkey and Qatar sitting there, Qatar has done nothing for Somalia yet they chose them over UAE which has done a lot for all of Somalia. PL has seen so much growth and development since Barres fall we will not go back to Xamar being the only city.
