Nationalistic gatherings have icky feeling to especially all the music that seems foundational to it

Nationalism itself is a scam, it always attracts the people at the bottom of society. They’re filled with hate and easily manipulated by the elite into doing things that are against their own interest. It’s the same story everywhere. Letting them speak for more than 5 minutes should be a crime against humanity, they genuinely live in a different world to the rest of us. Nothing more than insane conspiracy theories and retarded shit. Half the time they don’t even know why they’re angry or what they actually want, or they straight up don’t even understand how their own country functions.

Because most of these nationalists are just poor people, manipulated by their ultra wealthy overlords. You’ll never see rich people buying into that nonsense.
