When i look at pictures from our motherland, i can't help but to feel emotional, angry , disappointed etc.
We are blessed with such beautiful lands. I feel like cursing the generation before us(ciyal kaacan) for begin so selfish. Did the thought about the future of their kids cross their mind when they were destroying the country?

We all could have been chilling here right now

Traveling everywhere in Somalia with friends, almost every city has beautiful beaches, nice weather, fine women, funny people, good food etc etc

- Only if Afweyne handover the power without a blood shed.
- Only if there was no injustice among Somalis in Somalia, because the injustice is what destroyed the country and made many jabhads.

Forget the past, even now the politicians are doing the same thing that destroyed Somalia over and over again, they never learn from their mistakes.

Its been 30 years and we still haven't had a proper reconciliation process between us somalis. I think it might be to late now. The hatred and cuqdad between somalis are to deep rooted, we will never be able to move forward as nation. Maybe going separate ways aint a bad idea after all? I maybe wrong...

Indeed the best is to go different paths and unite once we're smarter and developed, somalis want to unite but at the same time dont. Even becoming a confederation is an option since Mogadishu wont rule again.

I could agree with you but then we’d both be wrong

Emotional outbursts won't solve anything. Go back there and make it better. Whining on forums won't help the country.

Balkanization is the only rational and logical decision going forward. :nvjpqts:

Even if we go our own way which I have deeply thought about and sounds great in theory will fail in reality and I say that because the tribal system is so vicious that it will break down back to sub-clans competing for power and eventually fighting along sub-clan level. It basically has no end in sight in terms of division unless of course we adopt a system that 'tamed' it which is the 'nomadic xeer' but any system outside of that hasn't produced any positive fruit including WESTERNIZATION AND DEMOCRACY.

I must also say, I do sometimes personally curse 'ciyal kacan' it wasn't even our grandfathers who handed us this mess, it was our 'fathers'!!!! our grandfathers thought wisely for their kids(ciyal kacan) but our fathers didn't give a shit about us and let us inherit a failed nation. Let's just hope we don't recycle 'ciyal kacan' policies and ideas and cultivate fresh thinkers from our generation using fresh locally inspired ideas not colonial or western ideas to rebuild the nation. It sounds great we bring western form of governance because we are used to it in the west but those back home will just 'compete' tribally if we do, we need a system that is locally inspired and answers their local needs and culture not answer our 'western diaspora needs'.
