They can pull around 230 Soldiers on offensive strikes. Probably double around 500 soldiers hadi abudwaq balanbale loogu tagi laha, if the fight was in his home-town, home-town advantage is always double the offensive advantage when u treck into other people territories.
Hawiye the numbers are not great, especially in the southern zones of banadir-shabellaha, they were fighting to 'defend' their territories so the recruits should've of been 'double' the invading side, but it looked pretty EVEN. I am still investigating the report deeply. But yeah you can assume the numbers hawiye used to defend the south from abdillahi yusuf is going to be 'half' if they did an offensive strike on daroods in their home-area.
I am working the report hard and will report back my darlings. But the rules are simple. The invading side is always using only '50%' of his capacity because he isn't at home but in far-away lands and if he loses one soljah, sxb he can't recoup it, it's not his district unlike the guy defending the district.
So the rule is simple. If you brought 3000 to defend your area when your in defence mode and in your home-town, that means you can only use 1500 at maximum if you were the 'invading' side going to other clan territories. It's pretty well known method. Ninka duulayo iyo niinka lagu soo duulay waa kala advantage badan yihin, one has the capacity to recruit higher because he is at his home. NINKA DHOOF KU YIMI, BAY GERIDA DHIBTA. It's true, marku dhinto, ma joggo degaankisa, so he cant re-supply the soldiers as much as the one degaankisa joggo and by the time loo soo 'hiiliyo' from far-away territories, the locals in the district would've slaughtered whatever was left of the invading side.
Offensive wars are the hardest wars for anyone in the world. May the best clan win. Puntland is very anti-offensive wars for a good reason, unless you divide the guy your invading so u can collect his soldiers while your in his district to recoup yours who can not be recouped that easy due to geographic distance, there is no other way to win an offensive war. U need a duli among that district with good population representation to side with you before you consider an INVASION.
