I remember i was with my friends We went to a nearby Mcdonalds while I was in line I saw a homeless guy standing outside

I walked up to him asked him if hes hungry he responded with saying

" Yes, but I cant eat here cause they have no halal food"

I told him Im muslim aswell and they actually serve fish here I was just about order some fishburgers you can eat with me if you want

We sat down and talked his name was Mustafa, from Iraq poor guy had been through alot

His wife passed a few years ago while giving birth to their daughter and tragically his daughter passed away from an illness a year ago and since than hes been depressed and homeless

May Allah give you ajar for those who don't have anything.

The feel good story of the day.

Few years back, I helped this female that was sitting outside and helped her buy some sandwiche.

Thats nice of you!

The reason I help people from time to time is because if I were in their shoes id like if someone helped me too

I have zero tolerance for homeless people. Most of them are addicts who want to be given money to continue their habits. If someone is homeless, there are various measures they can take to get off the streets and seek professional help.

Not to lose my ajar ( should not tell your giving..your other hand should not realize what the other one is giving let alone telling anyone) but to encourage you folks to be more giving I have a giving tendency.

I really do, I just feel like I'm erasing my dambi when I make someone very happy. Like just recently I went on giving folks. I called ayeeyo and I said to her "name three people you would like me to send something to" and she cried bc she said "it's overwhelming, I'm an old lady and I can't feed all these relatives back home and I'm happy you called me to take some burden off of me"

Of course I give to the homeless even though I'm very suspicious of what they do with the money. I sometimes want to ask them "let me buy you food from this fast food "

Tonight I was on my way to get milk when this woman comes up to me and starts the usual 'I don't have anywhere to go tonight' etc. She'd been drinking and I'd never give money to an addict so I made my excuses and tried walking off. She blocks my path and tells me she's pregnant with triplets and needs two cheeseburgers. No money. So I'm on the high street any way and I oblige, two cheeseburgers and a drink. I start heading in the other direction towards the McDs and as we're walking she tells me we're going too fast. I slow down and she looks back, calls this guy she's with who's also drunk to catch up, that's who the other cheeseburger was for she's not eating for two. I did not sign up for that but I kept going. Now here's where the embarrassing part begins. He's not that polite, he's obviously drunk and I'm wearing a parka and ripped jeans with paint stains, it was made that way. I was going for 90's devil may care fashion and now I look like an actual tramp/herion addict. Somalis stare in shock, white people cross the road and give me strange looks. I'm dying inside. But I troop on. I offered her measly burgers, she'll get them.

They're being as jovial as they can muster now but it looks and sounds forced and I'm sure people think we're about rob some place, they're staring.

We finally get to the McDs after what feels like a century and then wait another century for them to serve us. The stench of liquor actually overpowers the weird McDs smell. I'm dead inside by now. They're suddenly breaking into song serenading me. All sorts of thoughts are going through my head. The harsh light in that place showed me faces for the first time. They look like trolls. Drink does that over time it's true. This Muslim teenager who looks like he just came back from the mosque is staring at me. He smiled. I was so grateful that someone could tell I wasn't a part of the outfit.

Feeling a bit better now. The guy who's taking the order goes " are you getting them their food?". I say yes. He says "you've got to make sure they leave". THE SHEER RESPONSIBILITY!!! GAWD!!! I say yes. They KICK OFF. Effing and blinding at the guy. I put my kind authoritarian voice on and say "listen, you've been drinking. They have a no drinks policy here". Like magic they shut up. I'm in the wrong job. I actually marched them out of the restaurant. I should've been a cop or a social worker.

As soon as I got out with them I turned on my heel and legged it. I don't think I'll ever go back to that McDs if I do it will have to be with friends or family do they know I was just being a good Samaritan and not a dodgo!
