I might have joked about yall but you guys (reer Darod) are a really tight knit diasporas with backbone. You guys have your own community and defend each other and fight any ajanabus that are in the way, you have your own schools, your own shops, mosques, your own figures and leaders. Mashallah a very united community that uk and other western diaspora Somalis should aspire to be. They have southern Minneapolis on lock and I'm hearing many are owning properties. All you guys need to do is produce more nba and nfl players please.

I apologise if I did and the uk isn't horrific but it isn't a place to live in the long run. I do however believe reer mn has achieved more than us. We could learn from them
Honestly I think the US is just a better place to be. Many more economic opportunities. UK has stagnated for the past 20 years, it’s all there in the data.

It's the cost of living and how all the home properties has been cashed out as soon as we came to the country as refugees thus losing out on owning any properties. I think Somalis from the uk should start moving to the us and elsewhere thus country is slowly turning into a complete gaajo country.

The great thing about the US is that you can move to another state where the cost of living is much cheaper and homes are very affordable, and potentially work remotely from there and make the same salary as you would in the higher cost of living areas. A lot of people do that.

We can't do that here lol we just get put into a cramp council home. I'm optimistic for the later generation. They're doing pretty well. It's looking optimistic in the next 30 years but by than we could lose our culture sadly

MN is definitely majority Daarood (Harti, OG) but everyone lives there tbh. Hawiye (HG, MR. XW) and some Isaaq people but they’re definitely the least. Regardless, everyone is integrated together and lives/shops/is friends with one another for the most part. It’s funny how Somalis can all get along socially but not politically.

Yep. People can improve their lives much easier here Alhamdulilah. Thats’s why diaspora who end up in the states tend to be better off than the ones who don’t.
