A few months ago I went to a heavily populated Somali part of town. As I was walking towards a shop this white christian man out of no where he walked towards a group of Somali men and he started preaching to them in perfect af Somali. Then one of the men shouted war nagatag and they walked way.
Wallah I found this so strange, how this British middle aged christian man learned AF Somali so that he could go and preach to random Somali people on the streets.

It doesn't stop there, they will go around and knock on peoples homes. Theres like a team of these johva witness people around where I live trying to convert people.

Jehovis witness are some of the most annoying ppl i have ever met. I remember when they use to knock on our door they never give up!

I take the opportunity and ask them questions they can not answer. It usually ends up them thanking me for my time and leaving in a hurry.

Yes and they always approach me and ask if I speak Arabic and I'm like no I could see they had leaflets written in Arabic in their hand. Looks like they are targeting foreign looking people in particular.

I don't get annoyed by anyone who wants to convert me to an idea or to a religion. I see their sincerity and the fact that they are doing more work for their faith or nonfaith(atheism) than I have done for my beliefs. I mention that to them and praise them for their dedication always when they stop me or engage me in conversation at work(even from an avowed atheist who wants me to ditch religion because I have better brain than the religious people he knows allegedly).

Be informed of your religion on an intellectual level, and that will take care of worries.

I can engage in a conversation and a debate with others of different faiths. But not with Johva witness people they are completely nuts. I read about them and apprantley one of their rules is that if a jhova person is in need of a blood transfusion then they can't have one even if they really really need it:mindblown:

How could smart people believe this is really beyond me.

Somalis abandon Waaq for Islam. No?

You are subjectively interpreting events so you are comfortable. Someone else can objectively describe Somali acceptance of Islam while they ignored an established religion already in their neighborhood which was Christianity. Waaq is similar word to "Gudan" the Origin for God in terms of nouns and both are languages spoken by their relative people. So each society in their own language calls God their respective word/noun. Somalis accepted Islam because it was in line with their Original understanding of God to be One and the creator that owns everything. The Idea of God dying, Having a son which is a function of Animals didn't appeal to them. So Somalis were smart to ignore their neighbor's religion and wait for one that was in line with their Waaq beliefs. It was accepting and incorporating the obvious but not to abandon what was familiar to them. Reen diinle tribe in Kenya today still practice what Somalis practiced pre-islam, and these Kenyan tribe in their majority believe in One God who created everything. Their language is a sister language to Ours and they look like Somalis and are camel herders.
