Somaliland and Somali politics in general

@Dhay Geel said it best, and I think that it's just best to focus on your own situation.

Somali politics is hopeless, too much corruption, which is not centered in one particular region, but with Somalis and Africans in general.

However, my hope is still with Somaliland, even if it takes another 26 years, I will still be rooting.
Likewise, the situation in Xamar, I wish them peace and stability, and Somalis around the world.

Welcome on board. Best thing to do is focus on your life and your community. If your going to help out or donate money then best do it your self or give it to someone reliable.

That gudidii abaaraha for example. These munafiqs came with their big beards and thobes acting religious. But after millions of donations from the Somaliland diaspora, charities and NGOs they decided to give all the charity to the west of Somaliland.
This was another reason I've lost support for Somaliland all the development and aid money goes between Berbera and wajaale. And we know who lives there. Hargeisa, Gabiley and Berbera get 85% of the entire budget, yet they make up only 15% of the land volume.

I stopped supporting Somaliland because of corruption and bad politics.
That does not mean I now support Somalia because they are both as hopeless as each other.
Hope keeps the dream alive, no hope = no dream = no future

I've contributed more to Somaliland than most people on this site. Most people would think I'm mad if they have seen my Dahabshiil slips. But I don't neeed to brag.

And anyways what's the point in supporting a bunch of corrupt thieves. Unlike you I'm not blind to qabil. I'm HJ but I'm not supporting my kin.

The Prophet Peace and blessings be upon him said, "he who thinks the people are hopeless, is the most hopeless himself" reflect on that profound statement first before I begin to address the rest.

Relinquishing your support for a corrupt politician/administration is a major positive, it means you no longer tactfully support it which is the biggest problem we face, a nation that support such leaders blindly are humiliated further with terrible leadership by the most high until they wake up, which you did.

The whole reason these politician's come about and continue to usurp people is because of wide support base from such people even in places like sspot, if these so called educated ones support it, what do you think of those back home? it literally gives these leaders immunity and impunity to carry out what they do.

The point you made about focusing on yourself is irrelevant because that's a journey you should be on regardless, now that you made that important first step, the real question here is what are you going to do next now?

Will you be joining the small community in proselytising/awakening or will you hide away like a coward complaining and waiting for others to do the work?

Somaliland has always been a Subeyr Awal project :kodaksmiley:

Get used to it or f*ck off back to caynabo :camby:

It's another corrupt hellhole in Africa what did you expect?
As Muslims, they should fear Allah and do what's best for the country, i.e develop every region in Somaliland but nope they only concentrate on Hargeisa and Berbera. And may the people that steal aid money burn in hell fire ameen.

That's correct, last October i went to Saylac and spent most of my money there, it's a small tuulo compared to Berbera or other port towns. I'm still annoyed how the leaders of the 3 political parties are all Isaaq. 2 of them garxajis. It's appalling when there are many other qabiils.

I can't understand your post. Did you and horumar stop supporting Somaliland politics or the whole concept of Somaliland?

No, i still support the concept of Somaliland, as i mentioned in my post.

What was the tipping point?

After a few years on somnet, defending somaliland and just somali politics in general, i saw no end. So i moved here, new name, which indicates that i only want to be involved with the good stuff, lakiin even that wasn't enough to stop me. I just gave up. In fact it was even more noticeable for me on this forum as there are many Somaliland haters kkkkk.

I am actively involved with not only my local somali community, but back home too. I don't rely on others.
