عِشْ مَا شِئْتَ فَإِنَّكَ مَيِّتٌ
المرء مثل هلال عند رؤيته ** يبدو ضئيلا نراه ثم يتسق

حتى إذا ما تمّ أعقبه ** مرّ الجديدين نقصا ثم يمّحق
Until when it becomes full, it follows it, Then it passes through two phases of decline and erasure.
