If we are being honest Hawiye are more of a minority in Somalia then Reewin. Reewin live in the most highly populated regions in the Interiverine part of Somalia.

While beesha Hawiye do not have a single gobol they live in alone. Every gobol they share with Daarood or Dir or Madowweyne. From Galgaduud to shabeelada dhexe hawiye share the gobols.

Tommorow if one man one vote happens Daarood and D&M will be the majority of Somalia and Hawiye will become a minority. Even in Gobolka Banaadir Raxanweyn are starting to outnumber the Hawiyes.

2) Hirshabeele + Galgaduud

3) Puntland which includes the whole of mudug.

4) Somaliland which consists of Sool,Sanaag,Waqooyi Galbeed and Awdal

Somalia should consists of these 4 states. It will be beneficial as they will no longer be "clan" states but rather multi clan . It will promote " is dhax gal bulsho" and working together as a country despite the tribe.

What's wrong with having several states? Nigeria is about 50% larger than Somalia and they have 36 federal states + federal capital territory.

Your suggestions of mixing regions and forming FMS from zero is a dead cause. It will only satisfy a minority and rejected by the majority. Not to speak off being impossible to implement it in practice. Might as well work with what you have today.
