Post ww2 I'm not sure. But there is a famous video of first president Aden Adde walking through Germany. Not sure if it's east or West cause Somalia during Aden Adde was a non aligned country with no foreign military bases so we played ball with both USA and USSR.
In ww2 there's another famous painting of Somali men including the Ajuuran Sultan Olol Diinle infront of Italian and Nazi soldiers. We helped the axis invade Ethiopia cause f*ck em.
Is That could be the reason why the Italian treated us fairly unlike the others ?

Not necessarily. Somalis were colonised the same way, south Africa was. It was Somali sultanates like Hobyo & Geldi who got cucked by Italians due to infighting each other like Sultan Kenadid of Hobyo & Sultan Cismaan.
The Somali sultanates were still countries within the Italian empire. Sultanate of Geldi was only officially abolished in 1911.
Hobyo Sultanate went from 1878 and was only abolished in 1927.
The main reason we weren't treated was because Somalis still held some authority over their lands and past the coast was basically off limits to them. And Somalis routinely killed Italian and British goveners not to mention dervish war which lasted till 1922. Somalia wasn't properly colonised until the 1920s.

What actually caused WW1 was fear of Russia. They were industralizing so fast that the German high command thought they'd be unbeatable by 1918 so they had to start a war quickly. Keep in mind back then Germans used to have 3-4 kids while Russians would have 6-7 kids like Somalis today. They were obsessed with demography and did everything to stop them dominating Europe. They funded Bolsheviks and gave them tens of billions hoping they would destroy Russia.
This is btw why the Eastern front in WW2 was so brutal, Germans led a a campaign to destroy the population, not a political war like the war with France and UK.
IMO they succeeded, they stunted Russia so badly that it never really recovered from WW2 + communism
italy/spain/greece used to be the most superior European nation but the Germans over took them. Germanic tribes are useless without Germany. Britian couldn’t do what the Germans did .
