Allah has a view from all perspectives that we simply don't have and thus are left with mere speculation, we know the children spawned in such societies with irreligious wicked parents tend to become far worse then what their parents were!
We see the proof's of this everywhere in the world today, you see this as an unfair collective punishment because of your limited view of perspective while to the most high he is saving those children from following the same path, until you accept Allah knows best and we don't know anything, you will forever wallow in these doubts.
Many of these children spawned in Somalia by these irreligious parents participated in the ensuing civil wars everywhere in the most remorseless inhumane ways!
Your claim that we are the most religious now is bogus, relative to the past yes but you still have the same blatant gross injustices ongoing everywhere, polytheism/khurafat has increased exponentially especially outside the cities.
In my travels I have seen plenty of man with 10.000 livestock refusing to pay Zakat on them or give a single goat to a poor family, instead he would slaughter a 100 or so for some dead saint in some grave, after the droughts these exact same people lost everything as did those whom didn't speak out against them, the crimes that happen there are heinous and no one speaks out against them even religious man support them because of qabiil.
Allah has mercy on the Muslims in which they pay for most of their heinous crimes/sins in this world rather then the hereafter when the torment is far greater, all these punishments are a mercy and a means of us
'turning back to Allah' as he states himself but we are collectively a stubborn dumb people so it will continue until we wake up.
As for America you are equating wordily success with the hereafter, lot's of tyrants were given power that included the Pharaoh, Nimrod etc both of Cushite origins that were far worse in tyranny so much so they were even mentioned in revelation.
The American's despite their world tyranny, their level of justice and uprightness in comparison to us is utterly shameful but despite that their own government is poisoning their own people in various ways! 1/3 of the population including even their dogs are on anti depressants.
They have the highest obesity rates and malignant disease rates in the world as well as suicide rates, 50 million of them are on food-stamps, the success you speak off is really a 'myth'!
You should travel more around the world to see the realities for yourself, we don't know what the future holds for America due to our limited sight/perspective, it's likely they are heading for a humiliating defeat or annihilation if you follow geopolitics/prophesies or even better history.

So let not their wealth or their children amaze you (O Muhammad SAW); in reality Allah's Plan is to punish them with these things in the life of the this world, and that their souls shall depart while they are disbelievers
(Quran 20:131)
And strain not your eyes in longing for the things We have given for enjoyment to various groups of them (polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah), the splendour of the life of this world that We may test them thereby. But the provision (good reward in the Hereafter) of your Lord is better and more lasting
(Quran 9:126)
Are they, then, not aware that they are being tested year-in, year-out? And yet, they do not repent and nor do they learn a lesson (from it). -
