Why do they want recognition in the first place? There is no reason, other than Isaaq.

They would be able to get more international aid on their own terms which means more development and a better run economy as an independently recognized nation. They'd be able to handle their own affairs. It can mean either clans fighting for resources, or sharing resources with each other and helping the country flourish.

Before Somaliland starts of being a country, it has to have friends, they're biggest friend is Ethiopia and UAE. Ethiopia is bad, so it has to move on with international friends like US, Russia or maybe UK. After it makes Political relations with countries, US will use Somland for bases so as The UK. Maybe we will find Iron in the ground or Gold and Diamond or Oil. Somaliland also needs to be Stable again with Inflation rates. They start building Infrastructure. Only Allah knows

Somali region of Ethiopia can get Recognized quickly maybe in 6 Months. But Ethiopia being a Greedy country it is, it relies on Somali regions Oil Reserves.

Akhi, you need to understand, A good steadfast ruler can make a better country. We Somalis can't rule because our leaders are not steadfast. The ruler has to make Agreements with Tribal leaders. Inorder to make a good country

I for one think recognition right now isn't good for us. We need better institutions that hold our leaders accountable. I want my people to learn to be self reliance, recognition doesn't bring much for the average joe.

There will be no benefit to the general world population...It may benefit some in Somaliland, but for others it will feel like a step back. I don't care anymore tbh, I just hope the best for all Somali's no matter where they live. If people wanna seperate, then that is their own problem.

if they get recognition(which is unlikely) they will be able to get international support to help them develop but they can never get rid of their somalinimo so they will be corruption (and they leaders will most likely buy qaad with most of the money)and just like the south they will be at each others throats
