Yea because the french moved in people into every corner of the country. That makes absolutely no sense. It's obvious that they are indigenous to the area. Somalis migrated up into the french controlled cities such as the capital.

A lot of afars and Somalis are not native. Some Somalis migrated to Djibouti and some afars migrated to Djibouti. In fact the president ismail Omar guelleh is originally from dire dawa.
