Yeah. We have Isaaq all over from Wollo region and Hadiya in Ethiopia to Al Jawf in Yemen that are direct paternal decedents of either Sheikh Isaaq himself or one of his decedents on jihad against Ethiopia during Futah Al Habesh.

Somali merchants were all around the Indian Ocean. There were quite a few Somali men who took home wives from Comoros islands also.
Apparently there's a tribe in Madagascar that claims Somali lineage also.
The tribe is Antemoro. They are haplogroup T and claim decent from Dir

How did they end up there? Perhaps when the Mogadishu sultanate were looking for and building gold mines in the north of the island. What part of the island do Antenoro live
They live in the south east. They claim Somalis built a colony and converted the local Malagasy to Islam and intermarried with them to create Antemoro. This was likely a reference to that Portuguese sailor who reported that there was a joint mission between Adal and the sultanate of Mogadishu on colonizing Madagascar.
Unfortunately overtime they become gaal again but still remember their abtirsi and butcher meat in a halal way.

Yeah I read that source on Adal and Mogadishu doing joint naval missions to Madagascar in search of gold. I thought it was just northern region but nah.
Inshallah we can send some Somalis to convert them to Islam and bring them back into the fold. Being surrounded by Animists and later Catholics for centuries with no contact with Somalia really affected them.
