When I was there it was 7k back in 2015 it was around 6.5k.

For about a decade (or longer), the SL shilling was rather stable and generally hovered around 6-7k per $.

It was only when the govt/central bank 'tried' to regulate Zaad/mobile payments that the shilling became unstable.
