While marehan did exist in gedo from the 19th century, it is a fact that MSB covertly moved some MX from galguduud to Gedo during the Ogaden war.

I don’t think u understood me, I’m not denying MX existence in gedo before MSB, in fact I have stated above that they settled there in 1800s but MSB did relocate some MXs from galguduud to gedo in his presidency.

Its undeniable that Marehan have lived in Gedo pre Siyaad Barre. But as you can clearly see from the map Marehans settled on the western side of the jubba river and the jubba river separated the Rahanweyn and Marehan.

During siyaad Barres term he moved Marehans from the western side of jubba and Galgaduud to the eastern side of the jubba which was 100% Rahanweyn territory.

If you look at the map clearly it shows the river is separating the Rahanweyn and marehan.
