In a capital you bring your human capital and intelligent people concentrated and separate it from your business cities like garowe does while bosaso is our business capital. The same for america washington is where there civil society, academics,politicians, military officials are located while new York is their business capital.

Galkacyo is the main city that should be chosen, within a multi-capital city system. Tomaselli Line divides the two biggest groups of Somalis. Garacad port is the showcase of what Somalia can achieve in an ideal world and symbolises entrepreneurship, collaboration and self-sufficiency. It is geographically also close to the centre-point. It is a large enough city to accommodate being the capital. However, it should *only* be the administrative capital. We should have 2-3 capitals, just like SA. Galkacyo being the administrative, Kismayo being the business (while also being a strategic move to fight off AS from encroaching Konfoor). This provides the perfect solution to North-South "divide", which I don't even personally buy into. It's a fictitious divide, but just to appease the masses and circumvent "qabyaalad" concerns of being concentrated in a Qabil-dominated area.

My father actually wrote this article about this very topic back in 2015, as we deliberated on the idea of changing capital city's before he left to Somalia (fwiw, we are from a small-town called Jamaame, so haven't got a dog in this fight, to make our city the capital, as we are from a working class Madow town where af-maay is spoken)
