Jamac Deperani is a great journalist, his interviews are very informative.
In my opinion 9 people are too many for an elections commission, but that is not the main problem.
The main problem is that the elections for president should be separate from those for parliament. Puntland simply does not have the capacity to hold both elections simultaneously. Have them spaced out over two years, with the presidential contest coming first. The EU already withdrew their democratization funding last year, so there will be no outside help.

I will watch it later. I hope we don't go the same route as the Somalilanders, whose parties are solely based on clan lines. One way to avoid that is to make it mandatory for every party to have atleast 10k members in atleast one degmo in every PL gobol. There should be hard requirements to make a party more inclusive and not a clan party

puntland should worry more about paying its fair share of taxes to mother ethiopia then a useless clan election.
