Wallahi this nigga always finds some obscure tweet about Somalis with zero likes or retweets :dead:

But to stay on topic, it varies between generations. The older generation is more traditional but still loving to some degree ofc

I believe the Irish man is wrong. Just because he doesn't see public displays of affection doesn't mean there isn't love, it just means Somalis have self respect unlike whites

Older generation is very loving and they make food for their guests and will get uunsi and tea/coffee with somali cookies for desert.

Young Somali couples will only get you a glass of tap water if you visit.

Its not like Somalis and other Muslims gonna get lovey dovey when they have guests besides most Somali families are very loving and they always serve their guests with shaax or buskut

and you heard of cilmi boodhari iyo Hodan?

Its like a Somali version of Romeo and juliet

What r u saying? The older gen raised the younger gen.

Somalis take hospitality to heart, it's one of the better things about the culture. The offerings may change to more mainstream desserts along with the staple shah, but the spirit is the same, and it's so apparent even I know this.

Also noticed a small random difference between when mom makes a dish of something for a White friend vs a Somali friend: the Somali recipient returns the casserole dish or whatever with something of their own making. Cadan ppl will return the empty
cannister/casserole dish lol.
