Why are Somalis here so anti-Arabic? I'm not even a cuck or 'ana-Arab', but anything praising Islam and the learning of the Arabic language is lambasted by users who think they're the guardian of Somalinimo. Mofo, you just learned how structure a coherent sentence in Somali last year on Wikipedia and FKD sites.

You live in a foreign country and speak a foreign language, why carry so much contempt for learning a language that carries many benefits, when you yourself cannot even utter a complete sentence in your native language?

You are happy to know that you can structure complex and intricate essays in a completely foreign language (English), but are the first ones to throw fits when someone speaks Arabic or understands it. Even though Arabic, as evidenced with our dealings with the Arabian peninsula, has influenced our language and culture via loan-words and cultural exchanges.

It is kinda weird how we have to pray in Arabic and read the Quran in arabic etc.

I would feel more connected to the religion if I didn't need to do this stuff in a foreign language.

Also I only know English because I live in an English speaking country, I don't care about the language outside of that.

This probably would have happened all over the Muslim world if Islam didn't basically forbid it and enshrine the Arabic language in particular. It would have especially been done by political leaders trying to cut themselves off from the rest of the Islamic world and assert their own identity. You'd see all kinds of Qur'ans popping up in different languages like what eventually happened in Europe and the Bible.
