Is Farmajo a genius or the opposition idiots?

Nothing substantial has changed in the latest meeting. Farmajo used his gareen states to make sure nothing significant changes at the latest ncc meeting. Farmajo may end up getting his two year extension plus another term.

It’s time to admit that farmajo and his team have politically outmanoeuvred all of the opposition politicians including Deni and Madoobe, but especially HAG politicians as the battleground is Mogadishu.

You know what's funny about this picture? The different Farmaajo's look slightly like the FMS presidents they each represent.

@En_Sabah Nur I have to be honest I just don't know who to believe out of the supporters and the opponents of Farmajo. If you go to Somali Net you'd see two sets of propagandists spouting sensationalist yet opposite analysis on whether Farmajo is winning or not

I’m not a farmajo fan and dislike the NN trolls. But unless something drastic happens, there is no doubt he is winning politically if one looks at it from practical perspective. He’s very good at divide and conquer. He’s divided HAG and has his own HAG loyalists He also knows the baadbaado qaran are all bite and no bark. If this election happens, he will win. The opposition are too divided and have different interests.

The only chance the opposition have is to continue the delay game. At this point, people are tired of that option and want to see the election finish. The opposition will be blamed for delays.

let’s move on and build our country.

Nothing was changed, Yasin Fareey and KG seats were kept intact. Roble has failed to dislodge the power of Farmaajo. :pachah1:

The PM's biggest gamble was his request to the FMS presidents that all of the security forces to be placed under his command. Under the Interim Constitution, the President is the supreme commander of the armed forces, and the FMS presidents have no mandate to make changes to those articles.

His minister of interior's request to remove NISA from the airport was a gamble that didn't have much thought behind it. Out of a concern for their safety, the Western envoys in #Halane didn't want NISA to be removed from the airport. The NISA and SNA commanders also told the PM that their command is through the President.

Rooble's efforts to fire an independent election commission was also another gamble.

With that in mind, it is possible Rooble may declare his candidacy after the selection of parliamentarians is concluded, provided the Emirates will be willing to bankroll him.

He wont win any election, he is so broke he is trying to steal Navy property to build a villa. Baahane is just a phase and will be thrown out like a wet condom.

I may be wrong but it's highly unlikely
Those who think Farmaajo can’t be dragged out from his sharbo and thrown in the middle of nowhere in gedo is a fool. Hawiye managed to take out siad barre in less than a week. You think it won’t take them a quarter of that time to take out his autistic clone who doesnt even have half the manpower siad barre had? The people of Mogadishu don’t want to destroy the city they beautifully rebuilt. Don’t take that for weakness people. Your welcome to invest in the capital but don’t push it my friends

And why would they drag him out? Because siad barre was his uncle?

No because he’s clinging on to power. His mandate expired. Sii sharafleh oo shaley magaalada soo galyey. Marka sii sharafleh in oo kursigi diibo waye saaxib.

But he's made it clear he ain't going nowhere, and has mastered the art of using hawiye against each other, something even Siyad barre could not do.

so as hawiye, what do you do? it's basically a lose lose situation.

Difference is with siad barre, hawiye were United because they thought after he’s gone it will be over. Just a few months of fighting and we will lead a new government. Not knowing that there will be power dispute leading to inter conflict that caused further turmoil for years to come .Now we have learnt our lesson and the whole reason we are split is because some who want another conflict and others who have learnt there lesson. Farmaajo is abusing the fact most hawiye are know businessmen who don’t want to go back in time

No such thing as HAG, it's wadani vs Qabil

You mean he should resign? Why should he resign before the election? None of the presidents before him did. And they all stayed after their mandate ended. With the exception of AY . And who should he give the kursi to if no one has been elected to be president?

Once elections happen, if he loses he will it hand over 100%. If he doesnt then your argument is applicable. Until then he will stay as law 30 says. Federal institutions will stay until replaced by new institutions.

But he deliberately overstayed so his presidency term could be extended. He wanted a 2 year extension. It was denied. So he indirectly made sure he’ll have his 2 years one way or another.

The two presidents before him didn't manage to wrap up the election within their terms. This is to be expected, the president alone doesn't have the power to start the election unilaterally. It isn't in his hands. If anyone is to blame, blame the FMS.

If you remember before his mandate ended 3 of the FMS plus Banaadir wanted to start the election but everyone including the IC screamed. Everyone needs to be onboard bla bla. Before his mandate ended, he called multiple times for meeting which Puntland and Jubbaland boycotted. Another thing, it's been almost a year since he handed the elections over to the PM so why didn't elections already finish if he is the problem?

I fail to see how he made sure he will stay 2 years. Or if he wants to stay 2 years. Elections already started and it will end in 40 days.

If you think elections will be finished in 40 days you are naive. These elections will take 6 months minimum if all FMS are working together could be done in 4. 40 days is a complete joke.
