is it just me or do some Somalis have that "white painted black" look to them?

I saw this very beautiful brown-skinned somali woman working at a department store. I felt like she looked like a cadaan woman just painted black. it was weird. I've seen this type of look a lot with somalis.

And it's usually the darker skinned somalis for some reason.

The lighter skinned somalis just have that quintessential somali look (like chunkz) or have a yemeni look.

Alot if Somalis got the darkskinned Arab-Indian look.

The cadaan painted black look you won't see day to day but I've seen some.

When people say east african they just mean the horn 70% of the time.

Other east africans are either bantus who aren't really "east African" in the genetic sense. They are migrants from West Coast/central Africa which is why they are lumped with their Bantu kin. And the others are the native Nilotes who aren't really featured in media aside from certain things like running since they aren't as clearly distinct from bantus as Somalis & Ethiopians are.
