The Chinese and Vietnamese are always in lines buying lottery tickets. These people are very stingy with their money but with lottery tickets, they are buying more than $100 worth of tickets.

I've never seen an Asian win as well. It's always whites or Blacks. Even a Somali became a millionaire last year lol

My friend told me many years ago that he saw an Asian guy gamble his house and lose to the Italian mob. The Asian guy was screaming, "I have a wife and kids. Please don't take the house away from me". Lol he was given $10K after hearing his sob story but the Asian was still begging for the house back.

But I didn't know they had a gambling problem. I thought this story was unique.

A bookie is a British term for a bet-maker. The betting is usually on sports events but can be on other things as well like an election. It is very different to gambling in casinos. The former is associated with working-class poor people. I see a lot of rich gulf Arabs going to casinos.

Ah yes like William Hill or whatever it's called. I've noticed it was placed everywhere in low income areas of London even beside masjids where some after prayer would go.

We don't have those here. I think sports bets take place online.

The people I see consistently buying lottery tickets are White. I have a coworker who never skips a day and prioritizes her lottery ticket fix over all as a daily routine. If what you say about those Asians buying a $100 worth of lottery tickets is true, it sounds to me more like incidents of splurging, whereas White ppl are consistent, steady, one-ticket-a-day-everyday-ers.

Gulf Arabs are notorious at LV casinos. My friend and coworker used to work the floor and for years she thought the word , as they told her, was a compliment in their casually using it to address her when they thought she dealt them bad cards or odds.
