It's the most amazing thing to happen in Somalia civil war the looting of private and govt assets it only happened in Mogadishu, nowhere else even tho their is rumours of it in Erigavo now.

This is unheard of in any modern civil war not even South Sudan or currently North Sudan where certain clans homes are looted to raise kids in it, or sell it or rent it out leading to building up of haram leading to that money invested into businesses or even mosques built with it(nijaas money). Some were even buried in their own homes under the toilet foundation if they weren't going to flee.

The respect and protection of private and public property is one of the biggest laws in mankind.

@Jungle either you are being disingenuous or you dont know whats going on. The vid posted is not about gov land, its about land in the waxarcade area especially a place called Suuq Dayax.

The people complaining are mainly HG and Muursade who had land taken from them in Wardhigley by Siyad Barre and were given lands in the waxarcade area as compensation. They have siyad Barre documents.

The land around waxarcade and suuq dayax are mainly empty plots, and Abgaal in the gubadley area decided that they would take these lands for themselves. HG have moved away from that area since the Ethiopian invasion, and instead prefer the ex kontrol afgoye to celisha biyaha area.
