Is it wise to hold your marriage in Somalia or other African countries?

Some relatives did this. One held his nikkah and marriage in Somalia while the other conducted his in Nairobi. They spent way less money compared to the people who held their marriages here in the West. I think it is a wise decision. The only issue is most of the relatives in the West didn’t come. I don’t see an issue with that since small nikkah/ceremonies have more barrakah.

for me I would have a wedding in the west cause most of my family and friend are there. But I wouldn't mind having it in African countries if all family and friends are there

I don't know tbh. Inshallah I may have a beutifal and prosperous future. With a beutifal african woman and healthy children.

In a way yeah it is I’m pretty sure you could divorce your wife in Somalia if things don’t work out and not lose half your assets in the process like how you would in the West.
