Is there a chance US is forcing KSA to buy weapons?

KSA spent over 60 billions on american's weapons and that was during Obama's term. Considering the fact the US gov is trying to unveil documents linking KSA with 9/11 is there a chance Obama's administration is forcing KSA to buy their weapons in return for a secure stable relationship with USA. I find it odd KSA is buying that much military equipment from the US considering their souring relationship.
