I dunno, seems off to me. I wasn't aware that we controlled that much of Somalia. Thoughts?

Yes it seems correct. Unsure about the Somaliland part as I saw a news report from Badhan where civil servants went there to register from as far as Elayo & Dhahar which are on the Somaliland Border.

But I've a feeling we're all baffed on the politics on Sanaag. 1 minute seeing a Somaliland report then three next day a PL-som story the next day

Its not accurate, alkebab controls the whole middle Jubba, majority of lower juba, large chunks of bay, bakool, lower, middle Shabelle and Haradhere district of Mudug.. Also, no alkebab control areas in Nugaal and Bari coast.

Contentious area, it's bound to be confusing.

But if this map indeed is correct, then we could end this destructive conflict very quickly. All we would need is an organized and trained army, which we don't have at the moment. I hope the Turkish trained troops will remedy that.

You are very naive.A Somalia who is stable and has an organized and trained army would terrify neighbouring countries such as Somaliland,Ethiopia and Kenya who all have disputed areas with Somalia within their borders.It would be foolish to expect that they wouldn't crush Somalia and keep the chaos going by all means necessary.

Somalia can never be allowed to have peace and stability as long as they harbor feelings of conquest.

As for Kenya and Ethiopia, you overestimate their abilities to effectively keep us in perpetual chaos forever. These countries are not Russia or the US. They cannot topple regimes or play cold war politics in any significant way. These are incompetent African governments with severe domestic issues of their own. They may try to get in the way, but there's only so much they can do.

Ethiopia had both foreign and internal support. Watch them try to do that again without the support of both somali and foreign actors.
