It's time to let Somaliland go.

It is too late for the Somaliland secessionists to gain recognition. With Ethiopia about to collapse into civil war, Ogaden will be part of Somalia.

You think too highly about Somaliland. there are a lot of things going behind it is back. Ignorance is a bliss.
It’s not thinking too highly of Somaliland it’s just illogical. The Foreign Powers are trying to reconcile Somaliland and Somalia. But at the same time holding top secret meeting in Borame for secession.

FYI I don’t think Somaliland and Somalia will reconcile but if you think Foregin powers gives a shit about Borame you’re thinking too highly of Awdal

Well it's not like the FGS would defeat us so who is this foreign power and what could they even stand to gain from such a thing? This would be condemned by the international community and the African Union would get involved if necessary, mind you a third of our national budget goes to the military.
Are you gonna invite AMISOM? Lol

Let me also remind you that Somaliland has a population of approximately 4 million. How many live in Awdal? We are building a relationship with Egypt and they have promised to defend us. 350 million dollars plus goes to the army, we will have 90000 men after training is finished. We can easily draft many more and train them in time, the AU is only a small part of this. And we have Gulf support as well, they won't give up control of the Gulf of Aden, especially not soon after seizing control over South Yemen. Apart from Somalia, we have no regional enemies. Or enemies at all.

Remember big foreign powers don't put all their eggs in one basket. International community is not a uniform entity and consists of competing powers. Right now everything is on pause. They are giving a chance for Somalis to work out our differences. It won't be like that always and preparations are being made beforehand for plan B. Once you f*ck up, don't come crying.

Buddy Borama is just a short drive from the capital. We will f*ck you up a second time

I believe that Somalia should be separated into maybe 7 new countries just like the Arab states in the Middle East. Somalilanders have made their choice and Somalis everywhere have to respect that. We tried to live together in the same nation from July 1st 1960. We had high hopes but our degenerate nature will not allow us to live in peace and advance forward. Its not just clans that are an issue it is our inability to reason and use logic to solve problems, we are too emotional. Nothing of constructive value is every going to come from an emotional people only conflict and misery. This is why we should limit our contact with each other by first letting Somaliland go. We should only come together, as Somalis, for constructive purposes that produces a positive result. Somalilanders have build a government for themselves and I support all constructive endeavours. Time to let them go.

Somalia has at least 15 clans and over 50 subclans. So are saying we should grant sovereignty to emotional clan fiefdoms?
With sovereignty comes with the ability to purchase or manufacture weapons of mass destruction.
Those hot headed illiterate clan doms will try to wipe out each other and they gonna use every possible weapon of mass destruction, that they can obtain.

You are blind. The Egypt talks are creating the very waves that can bring you down broken in multiple pieces.

The Foreign Powers would’ve already asked for a Somaliland-Awdal meeting to at least have the discussion which would’ve been mediated by the Foreign Powers.

Discussion talks is unavoidable it’s the first step in any potential secession. Keep dreaming kid

You are not very bright, aren't you?

The situation has not gotten to that stage yet. Being unrecognized and jumping in the middle of the big geopolitical stand-off, thus, upsetting the regional balance won't bode well for Somaliland's future. Egypt is an iffy regional power that has nothing to show for its military acumen or industrial power.

You are blind. You said that Somaliland is a dictatorship when it is as democratic as democracy can get. You also accuse Muse Bixi of genocide and war crimes with absolutely no evidence for either. The so-called Dilla Masscare was reported by the UN as a mop-up operation of the last remaining Somali nationalist base and only resulted in 150 deaths, all casualties being soldiers. Not the over 1000 or 89, or 385 or whatever it was they accuse him of. No hospital or school was bombed, it's all lies. Those talks are key to national security, they effectively establish a counterbalance to Ethiopian threats. You're so biased it's unbelievable, it's all bullshit. Awdal is so small even Djibouti outsizes it. The international community's interests lie in recognizing Somaliland and keeping it all together. Not arbitrarily breaking it apart. Nobody will accept this, Somaliland's borders are based off of the 1960 Republic of Somaliand and earlier protectorate British Somaliland. The Law of Union wasn't signed by the Southerners, if SL must struggle for generations just to earn back what's theirs you've got to be taking a piss if you think irrelevant little Awdal will in just a day.

That has actually had the opposite effect, Mr. In-the-know.

Somaliland is the democracy-veneered dictatorship of Muse Biixi. The International community can see the oppression of Somalis imposed by Villa Hargeisa. There is no freedom of expression in Somaliland. By all means SL is a police state. Your treatment of Awdal, Sool and Sanaag is also known. SL democracy facade has crumbled by en large.

Your threats are childish:
Buddy Borama is just a short drive from the capital. We will f*ck you up a second time

Not childish, just factual. Borama is right beside Hargeisa, there are 1.5 million people living there. How many in Borama? Barely 320 k. The world will not tolerate ANOTHER secession as this will become a precedent for other secessionist movements. The same can't be said for Somaliland, for all the reasons listed above.

You want to secede but deny this option for others. I had a good laugh.

The industrial and prosperous Catalonia couldn't secede from Spain, but poverty Somaliland is already behaving like it is about to get it and bullying Awdal.

Delusional as always.

You're so fucking stupid it's unbelievable. And to think you view yourself as some supremely intelligent geopolitical analyst :dead: :mjlol: let's see if you can make it on Al-Jazeera.

I see you got triggered. Bullying must be your forte.
Just pointing out your arrogance, it's been on display recently. If Somaliland is recognized, Awdal will be included. That is a given. Without Awdal, it cannot be. Legally speaking that is. I wonder, what exactly is this foreign power you speak of? Who could possibly benefit from splitting up SL? Must be Ethiopia, well in that case it would be a satellite state and would never be recognized by anybody. Such a move would also be condemned internationally. You can't just casually create states
