Ive always wondered (arabic)

Wonder why do we even have arabic as an official language. It is pretty stupid. We are ethnically homogenous and all speak the same language. The government doesn't even speak arabic to communicate with each other. I understand places like Djibouti where it's diverse but Somalia speak the same language

no one in my family speaks it but my grandma even thought she was raised in baadiye learnt Italian. some of my aunts speak Italian too and we are reer mudug

my aunts speak italian and thats it. its only arabic,somali and english here
