I've never understood people who want to tear down buildings where a crime occurred

What's the logic behind this? So what if a crime happened there?

A few days ago, a school shooting happened here in a Native village and they're asking for the school to be torn down.

They also torn down the house of that rapist Gonzalez from Ohio who kidnapped three girls for a decade.

Do you think buildings where crimes happened should be torn down?

I doubt anyone uses these buildings as some sort of memorial or site to praise the murderer.
