I notice that Abdi Ilay says he is building infrasturcture and uses that to gain legitimacy. This has worked on a lot of diaspora.

But the question is, who is he building the infrastructure for?

If these roads and airports will be used by the habash to loot Somali resources and disperse their soldiers in our region, we don't need them. The colonial states used to build infrastructure too to steal resources. But if the infrastructure is designed to help the local Somalis thrive socially and economically, it is welcome.

What we are missing is a critical analysis of what is going on in the area. Right now we have either sensationalism or a few superficial observations by some diaspora tourists.

Following 60 years of failure to integrate Somalis into Ethiopia and numerous insurgencies , the Ethio came up with a new strategy to integrate Somalis into Ethiopianism . The strategy was referred to as the Somali WMD ( Weapons of Mass Destruction ) .

Media ( they show endless propaganda )
Dhaanto ( used to mentally subdue and entertain the masses )

As you correctly state , there needs to be urgent critical analysis into the so called developments by neutral observers .

It's not funny sxb, do u know they take quotas of PL students to Jigjigga, I don't see them coming to learn in PL even tho it has the best educational system from zeila to kismayo and they still don't bother coming, that says alot!!!
