Just got a free Starbucks.

There was a huge line and this cute barista said it was on the house! He even gave me a pastry!


My colleague is now regretting why she left me in line to go to Caribou.

I love those moments! I once got a free drink because I left my wallet upstairs and knew that I would return. After that incident, I made sure to get the app on my phone but it was a nice feeling when they say they got you!

The last time I got something free was two weeks ago when I got on the transit bus and didn't have small change to pay for my ride. The driver said it's all good and let me through. Even went out of his way to wish me a merry christmas and happy new year.

It's nice to know generous people still exist. A cab driver I know offered me a free lift to work because I was carrying heavy things. I obviously refused at first, since i'm physically strong. In the end, I gave in because I didn't want to burst his gentlemanly ego

Yes I also love those moments. It makes me realize there are genuine people. That's so nice of the bus driver.

Back in the days when I use to work in a drugstore/clothing store, this teenager use to come in the store and never buy stuff. I remember my manager saying that if she would come again and not purchase anything, I had to kick her out. Wallahi she was such a miskiin, she was so insecure because of her acne and she was overweight so we never had anything in her size, which made her never buy stuff. Instead of kicking her out I made her test some make up samples she liked and paid it for her with my store discount.

this Somali girl gives me a discount every time I buy a coffee from there(starbucks), she just claims that I am her family member. it feels good to be a Somali fam. . tbh it kinda felt burdensome so I don't go there as often.

I also use my discount card when it comes to friends and family. I wouldn't mind giving it to other Somalis if they need it as well.

Starbucks sells stale coffee from old beans. Basically the stuff that you get on supermarket shelves that has been there for months.

Real fresh roasted coffee tastes a thousand times better.

Wallahi today is my lucky day!


I just got a phone call from my insurance agency. And guess what, today marks the 5th year I've been with them, and I got 300 dollars credit. Since I pay 120 dollars monthly full coverage, I don't have to pay this month and February and I will have credit left for March inshallah. Mashallah.


Today is January 5th 2016 which is a tuesday. I will write this down in my diary when I get home inshallah. Allah swt works wonders.


Alxamdullillah 1000x. I wonder what's instore for me for the rest of the day!

Groupon does not recognize Switzerland but what you can do is that you can find great deals on Hotwire. Hotwire is the awesome on hotels and car rentals
