Alhamdulilah. Development in that part of Xamar was long overdue. The road quality is abysmal though. No drainage means any standing water destroys the freshly paved road in a matter of months and it becomes a constant cycle of rehabilitation.

Proper City planning is desperately needed in Somalia

They’ve started building drainage in some parts of the city now. I know they’ve been constructing a pipe around ceel-qaloow where water sits after it rains but the city is growing so fast that more is needed.
