we shouldn't accept this as a race. This camp is based in one of the 5 somali regions that belong to Somali, it isn't kenyan property.

Our people in NFD, and Ogaden are treated like shit. Their houses are burnt, torched no one speaks up for them, the Somali media always talking about amisom and shahbab. I feel sorry for them, but what can we do, we lost the Shifta and Ogaden Wars.

Bro the region is called Ogaden as it is inhabited by Somalis, and had Somali kings. but non-Somalis living in that area are migrants just the way your city in Somaliland is full of Ethiopians, the end goal is two invade beautiful Somalia, and Ogaden is in their way.

So you want Somalis in NFD to join Somalia and leave a stable functioning country where they have countless land, businesses and other vested interests in? NFD is almost 100% literate and one of the most prosperous Somali regions in Somali weyn.

Would it have been this prosperous if it was part of Somalia today?? It would have been the shittiest most useless part of the big Somalia if you ask me

I am pro Somali but putting NFD under Somalia right now is crazy and impossible. It will ruin completely one of the better regions of Somali weyn. Until Somalia becomes a country like Kenya with good institutions and rule of law + protection of rights and fair elections NFD will keep being with Kenya.

Somalis have power and political representation in Kenya don't forget that! and Kenya is nothing like backward Ethiopia. It has always been and will always be better than that giant shithole.

Also, Somalis in Kenya hold one of the top jobs for example, the Foreign Minister is a Somali women (Amina Mohamed)

I think they should close the camp. Kenya is just blackmailing the international community for more funding, this is their tried and tested strategy. They make a lot of money from the camp while people live in prison like conditions and they even starve for a week each month because the rations are so short. They can't farm or leave so they're living hand to mouth on whatever the WFP provides. There are refugees who went back and they're bringing Kismaayo back to life. Close Dadaab for the sake of what's right in Allah's eyes. Al Shabaab are not in control any more, just doing typical terrorist attacks and usually in Xamar because it catches the headlines.
