Several missiles were shot at an aircraft that had intended to land at the Jowhar Airport on Monday to deliver Khat forcing it to turn back to Mogadishu, Radio Dalsan reports.

The plane had left the Aden Abdulle International Airport here it had loaded Khat from Nairobi Kenya.

Radio Dalsan has learnt that the incident was caused by rivalry between khat dealers seeking to control the multimillion dollar business.

Stiff competition between Khat dealers and recent rains in Kenya has seen the prices of Khat fall from $30 dollars a bunch to $10

The ongoing rivalry has resulted to tension in the Hirshabelle administrative capital Jowhar.

We should legalize khat and farm it in our country so we don’t have to export our hard earned money to our enemies. Why are we helping out enemy with billions dollars of our shilling so he can attack and grab our land an inch everyday!:farmajoyaab:
