This 5.5 bn port will literally make Kenya the Dubai of Africa, serving the entire east africa and at some point central Africa. The chinese have even made a local factory manufacturing pipes and other materials as part as knowledge transfer.

Kenya is really leaving Somalia in the dust. I mean, truthfully it has left Somalia in the dust years ago but the pace of development is really impressive. Somalia will soon be the gypsies of Africa. smh

China needs better access to Africa if it going to export those resources back home for its manufacturing industry, lets encourage Kenya and Ethiopia to become vassal states. Somali's should focus on developing businesses within Somalia, instead of begging to be taken advantage of by foreigners.
