I've noticed all major linguistic diversity in Somalia is in the interriverine region between the Jubba and Shabeele river. The rest of Somalia has minor differences.

Only Af Barawaani and couple coastal dialetcs have Swahili, the rest are Somali proper Af Maay speakers, separated about 500 AD post proto Somali, while Rendile separated in the proto stage around 500 - 0 BCE, but shares early roots with proto Somali but diverged very early during camel introduction luckily for them since NFD is very arid.
