Carab Saalax are actually Meheri Arabs (Mahrah/Al-Mehri), they have lived with us for a very long time and they intermarried with us, so their female ancestors are Harti Daarood women, mostly Majeerteen women. They are not the same clan as us paternally, but we are related through marriage. They are also part of our social fabric.

Someone here said that somalis in yemen pre-civil war numbered around 2 million. If these 2 million somalis would of gone to oman instead of yemen, somalis could've been a third of the total population living in oman. If you subtract the foreigners somalis could've almost became half of the population of oman. In some sense in this scenario oman would've became an extension of somalia.
