50 million livestock is crazy. If we used that properly our economy would go to the moon. All those camels, sheeps and goats and one of our biggest imports is pasteurised milk. Come on man

I think bakool is mainly RX camels they have one of the largest livestock markets in baydhabo

Yep. The environment in most parts of Somalia is prohibitive to cattle herding.

I wasn’t expecting Gedo, Hiiran and Bakool to have the most camels. Are those regions less urbanized than the rest of Somalia, with more people living nomadic pastoral lifestyles than other regions?

Gedo is very urbanized when compared to other provinces of its size but it still retains its nomadic population.
