Mandaq is from arabic منطق and means rational or speech.

I'm not really sure if it exists but

Since philosophy means 'love of wisdom'

We can make our own word isn't it?

I would go with Aqoonmajeer or Abwanmajeer

Aqoon/Abwaan = wisdom
majeero = to intensely long for something.

I tried! LOL.

I've seen similarities between the two languages countless times whether it's through text or speech. It's pretty interesting actually.

I'd rather have arabic words than English or Italian.
Yeah out of the 3 id rather arabic.

But we're Somalis, we need to make sure to keep creating new Somali words. They made lots of new words during the barre days but then we stopped for some reason and went back to taking up foriegn words.
And even worse, we are replacing native words with foreign ones.

That's true. I think there are still some organisations for Afka Soomaaliga and they're introducing new words.

Hope we can be come self reliant and stop borrowing words.

How about names? Most of the best names I've heard were from Arabic origin.
