Congrats to them, the least they can have is their representation for the membership of the 18 regions

I think some in SSc are pushing Maakhir state to seperate it from Puntland and make it more likely they will join together at a later date.
It would make sense for the FGS to push Maakhir and then combine them with SSc to have a united front against both SL and Puntland. It would weaken both by creating another political entitity inside Somaliland and reducing Puntland. They wouldn't even have to openly recognize it just acknowledge like SSc and then say you need more land to force more confrontations in the north.
Divide and destroy until only Mogadishu remains just like the good old days and ready for round two of Southern dictatorship.
