Madow Artist Goes Viral on Japanese Twitter for Making Japanese Character Black

Japan should stfu and accept that anime is mainstream and global now.
Yes, it's main stream but all characters should look like how they originally were designed by the artist. If they want a black character in that anime the should reach out to that manage studio and request if they can create black character, but to make all the characters black is not acceptable and it's infringes managa work.

"Nigga who can only steal culture" :dead:
Sxb I watch this anime on Netflix it's not bad. There 3 main character 2 girl and one guy. They fight demons and aliens and theres a love triangle. My question is did he change the guy to black and leave the rest cadaan / Asian ? :russ:interracial manga

He also called out white people for saying "Japanese people hate their own ugly appearances, and model their anime characters after beautiful white people whom they admire."

It's hilarious that the same accounts posting TND and calling black people every name under the sun, are suddenly clutching pearls because a 200 follower account posted a drawing. A drawing, by the way, that in no way influences the actual race of the character in question. This whole controversy is just a way to whip up anti-black racism.

I dont understand these peoples hate for black people at all. Too many of them have a superiority complex when at the end of the day we all gonna die and no race is higher than another race. Wallahi they don't fear the consequences of how they act risking the hereafter because they are hate filled.

What’s wrong with fan art? Weird how these guys never said anything when other, darker skinned characters were made to have lighter skin in fan arts.

It’s so obvious man, these guys just hate black people. Don’t fall for their nonsense.

it’s literally just fan art, why are they so mad about it? Nobody claimed that they’re actually black, it’s just a fun drawing. It’s racism, plains and simple. They only do this with fan art that makes characters black, but apparently it’s okay to alter them in any other way. Just as long as you don’t make them black.

Where were these Japanese during the Brazilian Miku trend? Dude it’s just racism.

you don't understand- most of these edits are made within some kind of identity politics in which "x character is actually x in my world" and then annoy everyone else. no one cares about black people. but the argument made for why lightning skin is bad and darkening is empowering are just garbage and nonsensical especially when you realize that the beauty standards from japan did not come from white people.

you could make the argument that nw europeans are the only group outside of asia that japanese people historically interacted with- do these people expect some japanese art about yoruba voodoo??? also notice how most of the people bringing this argument up are latinos/blasians/ some kind of mixed race- literally just inferiority complex

Why are you making it so much more complicated than it is? It’s just fan art. Nothing more to it. These guys are just racist.

Indho yars have a lot of kibir to be talking about “stealing culture” as if they don’t copy black American music and hairstyles…

What did they steal?? You say liberals/wokes are overdramatic and have no chill. Yet black people always steal shit because one random guy drew a character with darker skin?
:gucciwhat:

How about the hoteps? The Black Hebrew Israelites? Historical people that Netflix turns into Blacks? Even Miss Honey is now a Black woman when she was a white woman in the original Matilda. Santa Claus? Jesus? How about Blacks who steal Ayrab lineages? There's a long list of Blackwashing and Black theft and I'm tired of it. Blacks should have some adeb.

The first sin of thought is a belief that you can only appreciate a character if you fully relate to them. “Literally me!”
