I learnt that Muslim man can marry none Muslim woman but women are not allowed.

I learnt all of this because of drama ofcourse...

The story goes that an Abdi (who I barely know) is look to marry his Christian gf. His parents had didn't know they were dating since he lives far away and as expected, his parents do not approve of their marriage.

Before you ask, I have no idea what her race is

A question for the part time Sheikhs

Would the kids be Christian?

Better to stick to women of the same religion.....better yet, stick to women of the same race.

Trust me, you don't want to breed confused children.

From what I’ve seen. Kids born of these kinda unions tend to not be Muslims. They are either confused or flip flop between everything. Plus mother’s are always the driving force in a child’s socialisation.

I always find it weird when the father expects the children to be Muslim.. should have just married a Muslim women then:snoop::umwhat:

it honestly doesn't work. I had this childhood friend (I don't know where he went just disappeared) who was I think half bengali half something else. So his mum was Christian and his dad was Muslim. He would always walk up and say how he's "half Muslim" and he was raised in pretty Christian way. He didn't go to eid and he ate pork and stuff

he will follow his father religion

Many immature men underestimate the influence mothers have on their child. If you care about your future child's religious obligations, you simply wouldn't marry a non Muslim.

In theory, you are what your dad is. In reality, it is the mum that socialises and raises kids. Intelligent men know this.

Tend? Most half Somalis in Finland live with their Finnish parents. I know at least 4 men who had children with finn and then the relationship broke up, and the kids ended up with their mother. 3 of 4 them don't see their kids or can't.

Interestingly I actually met a girl from a very practicing household yet her mum wasn’t Muslim but observed hijab. She became Muslim a year or two ago even though her eldest daughter was 16/17
But truth be told the father was Algerian I don’t think Somali guys have that much energy and steadfastness themselves to maintain a non muslim wife.
She has to be chaste Christian or jew aswell.

exactly. Men don't spend as much time with children as the mother does. The child is more close with the mother. The mother influences the child more than the father.
