Marxaan Militia kill Fiqi Maxamed

May Allah have mercy on Bashiir Abdikadir Cali Wardheere, who was killed last night in his home in the area between Huurshe and Caabudwaq by militiamen. What a tragedy for his mother, siblings, and the children and wife he left behind.


The clan elders reportedly talked, and the Marxaan are claiming they mistook him for a Saleban a claim that makes little sense, given that no Saleban members live in that area. Nevertheless, the Fiqi Maxamed elders have declared that even if he had been a Saleban, killing a man on their land is unacceptable. They warned that if the Marxaan do not pay double the Mag (blood money), they will retaliate.

It was a couple months back when my subclan mediated between the Galmudug dir and the Reer dalal subclan for an end to the conflict and we also promised them security if they respected Marehan authority and kept to their Hamlets, I expect the situation will be resolved as this is an aano qabil killing rather than a war over land.
