My guy barre was the government, almost everyone worked under him at some point. Nothing unique about her family to claim they left because they would have been "slaughtered" because he worked for him. Not to mention so many people that were in government back then are still alive today chilling.

Yes he did some mistakes but plz don't act like he did it alone, Somalia was a real government not the weak state she is now.
Somalia was ruled by different men from different clans and because his regime failed people start to point all Somalia problems to him just like the German officials and generals blamed Hitler for all of Germany problem as if Hitler forced them to do it.
And it's more funny that the people who came after MSB were better than him if not worst to the point of one two idiots destroying the Somali capital city and another one calling the Ethiopiana to invade Somalia and the current one to just running to gather as much money as he can.

If Siyaad Barre had Drones like we do now he would have stayed President and never been overthrown. This might have been for the better.
Syrian Regime is using Suicide Drones effectively against rebels so this method seems to work. If only Suicide Drones existed back in 1991 Siyaad Barre would never have been overthrown.
