You would be surprised of the crazy stories you will hear or even witness yourself. There are indeed Somali Christians. Would you marry their women?

I feel like they (or their parents or grandparents) betrayed Somalis and we must not take such apostates as even acquaintances, let alone as your spouse.

To each their own
I'm pretty sure the reason they converted was to be with their white Christian boyfriend so why bother :abuxyga:

But, if the stars align and we madly fall in love I would marry.

But to be fair I would with anyone regardless of race, gender or religion.

No I'd rather marry a agnostic if I was forced to marry someone who isn't muslim. Marrying a christian just sounds like problems after problems and let's not forget about the daily dose of shirk

Somali Christians in Somalia could have been orphaned children. The mind is pliable for the first 7 years of life and if it experiences a different programming then its not their fault. Anyway, imagine if you were orphaned, some nuns took you in, provided you with schooling and your relatives which all but forgot about you and only care now are approaching when they hear they are about to convert you.
Or so your child like mind rationalizes.
You'd probably favour the nuns. Even if they have an agenda for being compassionate.

I suppose you didn't consider that possibility.

I voted a BIG NO just for the sake of it,

A Muslim man can marry a Christian woman, but not the other way round

It's 2020. Gone are the days of Somalis telling their lovers to convert to Islam so they can use the "but he is a Muslim" line to shut down their parents' rejections. Even irreligious Somalis were using this excuse because they knew it was their kryptonite.

Now you don't even need to do that. 99.9% of parents (not mine though) would just accept it.

While you're worrying about People of the Book marrying Somalis, I know Somali Muslim-Buddhist and Muslim-Scientologist and Muslim-Hindu and Muslim-Atheist marriages.

I know a sheikh who told me he sees about 50 Somalis a year who want to get married to their non-Muslim partner. He tells them to get lost.

Different belief systems can be problematic. When it comes to the game of longevity in marriage, commonalities are what bind more than differences. We need not even venture outside of faith. But even among Muslims wide differences in levels in religiosity could cause problems down the road.
